Looq is a great label for this track and we are proud to have it signed to them. Remixes are being done by some great talent. We are hoping for a Fall release so keep tuned in.

Thee-O was recently asked to be interviewed by Los Angeles underground dance resource SubversiveLA.com. The entire interview is below. Check out the website by clicking here.
Q1:How long have you been in the "scene" here in LA?
I have been DJing raves and clubs in the Los Angeles area since 1992. I started DJing in 1986 when I was 13. I DJed at house parties, school dances, etc. When I graduated High School in 1991, I started attending raves and soon started DJing at them.
Q2: In your opinion, what's LA's 'edge' in the clubbing scene compared with other US cities like Miami, Detroit, New York?
LA has this unique vibe. It is urban and suburban at the same time. LA has such a mixture of cultures and styles. It is a unique place to party. Like Miami, we don't have a real winter so we are a year round clubbing destination. LA was the birthplace of the US rave scene and it is still the strongest rave scene in the states.
Q3: When was your first DJ experience & who was playing?
My first rave gig was a party called "Under The Kandyground" held at "La Casa" in Downtown LA. DJ's that night were DJ Dan, Ron D. Core, Barry Weaver, The Kandyman and Tony Largo.
Q4: If given the chance, what artists would you like to work/play with?
I am really into the techno and tech house scene. I would love to work/spin with people like Dubfire, Paul Ritch, Mark Knight and so many others.
Q5: What projects are you currently working on?
I am currently the Label Manager for Saturday Night Sessions so I am constantly working on stuff for the label. Also I have a lot of release coming out this summer on labels like, Bit Records Mexico, Jetlag Digital, Source of Gravity, Nuhar, Suara, LOOQ and System Recordings just to name a few. I am constantly in the studio...I love just working on new music.
Q6: Who are some of your influential artists?
Prince, The Cure, Depeche Mode, New Order, Joy Division...I am product of growing up and listening to New Wave and early EDM right along with hip hop and salsa music.
Q7: What are your 'top 5' electronic music tracks of all time?
Hmmm that is a tough question but here you go.
Cybertron - Clear Channel One - Technicolor Lil Louis and The World - French Kiss Inner City - Big Fun Joey Beltram - Energy Flash.
Q9: What was the last record/track/album you bought?
I am really into the new Bat For Lashes album and the new Decemberists album is growing on me also.
Q9: Any advice for the aspiring promoter/dj?
Set yourself apart. Don't just play what everyone else is playing. Produce your own music. Never settle and never compromise your integrity.
Anyone who has listened to popular music the past 40 years has been touched in someway by Michael Jackson. There was a time in the 80's the you couldn't flip through the radio dial without one his many hits popping up. When he passed away on June 25th it was a shock to the system to us all. When Rob from Compression talked to Thee-O about playing a few MJ cuts at the end of his set, he was more then ready to go. Chris from www.nightmoves.me was there and took some video of everyone getting down to the sound of MJ. We will miss you Michael.
Thee-O is set to start work on a new Reef Project album due out later this year. The new album is titled "Adrift" and will be available on System Recordings. He is starting on new tracks with Erin Powers on vocals as well help from Huggie and Bitwise. Look for more ambient, downtempo and chilled beats to coming your way soon. Here is a video to remind you of the last Reef Project album that came out last year. You can get "Hydro Dynamic" at iTunes and Beatport as well as other online stores.
Illuminate was a awesome show. All you need to do is look at this video of the dancefloor during Thee-O's set with Groove Radio's Swedish Egil. The energy was just infectious. Look for the recording of the live set from Illuminate coming to this site very soon.
A short video of Thee-O on the decks at Circus. He and Thomas Penton headlined at Circus on 04/11/09 to celebrate the release of their track "Sleight of Hand" on Perfecto Black. You can also download his live set of that night by clicking here
"Let The Music Play" is such a classic song. When Thee-O was given the vocals for this remix he wanted to treat them with as much respect and not heavily treat them. With that in mind, he and Egil created a techy track that is loaded with energy and keeps the original track's vibe intact. Available now on Beatport, iTunes, Dancerecords.com, Play It Tonight, Audiojelly and others.
